Tarikere Sri Subrahmanya Swami Rathotsava

Sri Subrahmanya Swami Car Festival was celebrated in Tarikere with religious fervor on Tulu Shashti day i.e., on 22nd Dec with the divine blessings from Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji, the 36th Pontiff of Dakshinamnaya Sri Sharada Peetham, Sringeri.

Sri Subrahmanya Swami is a very famous deity in South India. Tarikere is an important Sri Subrahmanya Kshetra along with Kukke Subrahmanya, Ghati Subrahmanya, Tiruttani, Palani, Shabarimalai, Tiruchendur etc

Though Tarikere is not known to many people, still it attracts hundreds of devotees from many parts of Karnataka.

Jai Telangana

The Central Government has succumbed again to dirty politics. The creation of Telangana will open the Pandora's Box. Those who were unable to win elections were the front runners for Telangana.

In 1947, India was divided on communal grounds. The emergence of Bangladesh from Pakistan in 1971 has proved that religion alone cannot unite the people. The ethnicity and language was the winner in that case.

Now Telangana is going in a separate way against the linguistic feelings

It is interesting to note that, the creation of Telangana will disprove the great idea of Pandit Nehru to create states on linguistic basis!

This will definitely inspire others to speed up their demand for new states.

Well When will Mahajan Report will be accepted?

End of a Saga

I grew up humming the tune "buland bhaarat ki buland taqdeer....hamaara Bajaj.... hamaara Bajaj"

Bajaj Auto announced on Wednesday that it is exiting the scooter segment altogether.

Even though the scooter segment is shining (Kudos to advanced scooters like Honda Activa), Bajaj is exiting due to its non-competence.

The production of Chetak was stopped in 2005. (Chetak was once the world's largest selling scooter!). Bajaj will stop production of Kristal series (the 100-cc gearless Kristal DTS-i) by end of the current fiscal.

Bajaj Scooters will soon fade into oblivion…

Today I am very upset.

Virendra Sehwag has missed the golden chance of creating history.  Though I am not interested in watching Cricket, I am very much eager about the records being created.

In the present series, India has made its most run on the first day at Kanpur few days back and they have bettered it yesterday. Murali Vijay's has made good runs. I have to watch this game if it is replayed on TV this weekend.

All the best to Shammi

Shammi has got an offer in Kamanabillu channel for the current affairs show “Aparadhi Nanalla”. Earlier she was working with a local cable network. This is really a good opportunity to excel her talent.
