How to revive Indian Hockey?

Wait for 2-3 years. Few more countries will learn to play hockey better than India.

India will fail to qualify for the major tournaments. And everyone will start remembering the past glories and eventually forget the hockey!

Priorities

When all Indian politicians are fancying around Women Reservation Bill, the man who introduced it in Lok Sabha, an Ex-PM (1996), is too much busy in protesting against a road project!!

Was that necessary?

Earlier, Muslim women were not allowed to go out of their house. But the scenario has changed slowly. Today, Muslim women are pursuing higher studies and are working in many jobs which were once dominated by males. This evolution has happened without throwing out Burqa. The struggle for existence has changed the mindset of people world wide with the unforeseen challenges of increased population. But still they is lot of regressive forces which equally keep pulling the rope backwards.

One such force of course comes from the "highly educated" section of our society, i.e,. writers and thinkers. They think too much and think only to their level.

Even today, they are not ready to accept the gradual, steady, slow changes that has happened in our society, whether it is education of a girl child or the issue of untouchables. They simply keep on fishing in the disturbed waters. They should encourage and inspire the people. If they can't do that, at least they should keep quite by not raising the dead issues like Burqua... I have no hopes that they do.

Sudheer's Wedding Anniversary.

One year of Sudheer's marriage...

National Science Day

On every 28th February, National Science Day is observed to mark Raman Effect (which C. V. Raman discovered on the same day long back in 1928).

It is unfortunate that entire nation have no time to bother about this great day. Only few prestigious science institutes arrange some meaningful programs on this day. Once again, the media is very busy with the "Breaking News"

The Karnataka government has transported over 50000 liter of 'Ganga jal' from Hrishikesh to distribute among devout as 'theertha' in select temples across the state.

When the state is getting ready for another summer which will cause scarcity of water, the idiots in Vidhana Soudha are wasting the resources on such gimmicks.

Only Lord Shiva has to rescue us!

In Kshetra's House

I have visited Kshetraprasad’s house for the first time. It’s nice to see his parents, in-laws and bhava. I finished dinner at his house. The Huli (Sambar) was very nice. Before that we both ate Akki Rotti at his Akka, Meena’s house.

These days I am very frustrated to eat Andhra style food! And I am really happy to taste the real tasty food J

A saga by name “Chindodi Leela”

We have lost 4 eminent personalities of Kannada film industry within a month.

The death of Chindodi Leela is the latest one. I still remember the power of her acting, especially in theatres. I saw her for the first time in Davangere in 1998. She has camped for her play "pOleesana magaLu".  This play has seen 4500 shows and entered Guinness Book of Record.

I and Anjan were very enthusiastic to watch her acting. One day, after finishing our dinner at our hostel (Brahma Chaitanya), we got the great idea of watching the "Drama" of Chindodi Leela. We did not think for the second time and simply went to the "Camp" at municipality ground opposite to the railway station.

KS Ashwath is no more

It’s very painful to loose someone to whom we were emotionally attached. Ashwath was on of such rare persons who was respected by all.

It’s also very bad to loose Chamayya Meshtru and Ramachari just within 20 days.

All the best to Shammi

Shammi is getting ready to take on Albert-Chicago for its suspicious activities in the SEZ of Devasagara. She is the second girl after Kalyani to raise the voice against that company. Nirmala Kondalli may also play an important role in this issue.

All the best to these girls!

What a pity!

When YSR was alive, I have always criticized his arrogance. But now, when he is dead, I am missing him.

All sundry extra players have become big leaders today! and the administration is lacking a leader.

Idiots

APSRTC has raised the bus fares from today.

One surprise is that they have not done this for many years. The biggest surprise is that they have done it now.

City bus transportation in Hyderabad and Chennai is very cheap when compared to that of Bangalore. Though the bus fares are high, Bangalore has more number of city buses when compared to Hyderabad and traveling in the city is not a problem.

Even though Hyderabad has less number of city buses, people can take little breath as they have 7 seats shared autos running in many routes.  Since the auto rickshaw drivers in Hyderabad have no 'Meter' culture, it's difficult to commute in Hyderabad for a new comer.

The sudden raise of minimum bus fare from Rs 2 to Rs 5 for (Ordinary buses, equivalent to Black Board in Bangalore) and from Rs 4 to Rs 7 (Metro Express buses, equivalent to Red Board in Bangalore) has received sharp reaction from the public.

Though the bus fares are higher in Bangalore, the Daily Pass is sold at Rs 30. But the same daily pass (Travel as You Like – TAYL Pass) in Hyderabad will now cost Rs 40. And the TAYL passes are not common for at least two to three different types of services.  Even the bus pass system in Hyderabad is one of the biggest fun for a Bangalorean.

I do not understand that what the 'EXPERTS' eat? Why they make some such ridiculous changes?

After the RTC, electricity fares will be raised soon.

The only question is that why they kept silent for last many years?

Answer is very simple…. YSR!

Venkatraman Ramakrishnan says "I’m not a prophet, I only know about ribosomes"

Just remember what Amarthya Sen and Arundhati Roy did soon after winning Noble and Booker prize respectively. Both started to give big lectures. One of the common lectures was on communal harmony.

"What is the relation between GOKULASHTAMI and Imaam Saabi?" is a very well known saying in Kannada which questions the relation between two irrelative things.  Most of the people are doing the same thing since many years. The latest one being Amir Khan who started batting for changing the education system after the success of his movie.

People have understood the hypocrisy of all those 'Celebrities' who think that they can talk about anything under the Sun!

Unfortunately, our Father of the Nation, MK Gandhi and Uncle of the Nation (Chacha Nehru) belongs to this category.  In our country, any lecture/writing will be incomplete if it does not refer to the above two messiahs. We have Gandhi's and Nehru's opinions on all possible 'TOPICS' and they are the virtual GODS in this country.

I am very happy about Venkatraman. His words make sense.
